I Had Visitors!

After being away from friends and family now for 9 months I was incredibly blessed to have my dad and good family friend David pay me a visit.  For the first time I had the chance for someone back home to step in my shoes and get a taste of what life has been like here.

With only a short time at hand I wanted to make the most of their time here.  As soon as the flight landed they hit ground with their feet running with an New Year celebration African style.  The following day we headed north for a 6 day outreach that took us to the edge of Sahara Desert.

After a full days rest back in Jos we made our way south to the largest mountains in Nigeria.  There we trekked for a combined 7 hours and had 2 day medical clinic as stone throw from Cameroon.  Exhausted from hiking and sleeping in tents we headed to one of the nicest pool in the country.  From there we left to Abuja to say our goodbyes.

17 days, 2,250 miles, and two countries boards later, it needless to say I didn't send them home well rested.  Although it was very sad to see them go the memories we made will last a life time.

Here some pictures from our adventures:
